CC considers him a friend that she can trust. Kaname once thought that C.C. was evil but has taken the time to get to know her and has befriended her quietly behind the scenes. He lacks the confidence to confront those that speak badly of C.C., but is faithful to his new friend. He protects her from those that attack her. He offers her encouraging words often.
